hi, My dom0 is using 7GB of my total 8GB of RAM . I have 4 domUs running ( with 3 shutdowns recently) in PV mode each using 1GB of RAM. Now my host is almost unresponsive or really slow. In my host system, free -m shows total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 345 328 16 0 0 13 -/+ buffers/cache: 315 29 Swap: 4000 127 3873 Its showing 345MB instead of 8GB. xm info o/p: total_memory : 8165 free_memory : 3583 What do i need to do to make memory available to my host system from dom0? Thanks Paras. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Hi Paras, and * Did you received any answers? I''m also interested to know about it. I''m still in tests with my VM''s, and from time to time and shutdown them. But RAM memory seems not to be readily available to dom0. Cheers, Nuno Paras pradhan wrote:> hi, > > My dom0 is using 7GB of my total 8GB of RAM . Try running "xm list" and "xm info" afterwards. That''s why I said earlier sometimes it''s more desirable to limit dom0s memory from start and prevent it from changing. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
