[Xen-users] HVM with PV Drivers - Live Migration broken?
I upgraded both servers from 3.3.0 to 3.3.1 today, a few important bug fixes for my setup: HPET timer mechanism now works for Domus (Outcome is that time drift has stopped) Seems AMD CPUID fix no longer needed for GPLPV Domus DomU to DomU Network performance is identical (160Mbit). Live migration of the Linux HVM with PV drivers still does exactly the same. All Windows VMs with GPLPV drivers seem to behave differently during live migration now, they actually complete migration and all looks well from Dom0 but the network does not come backup. I can log in to console but the VMs are usually in a sort of broken state (eg. Screensaver active but when you move mouse to clear it no login box appears just the windows background or login box present but ctrl-alt-del does nothing). The VMs don''t seem to BSOD or freeze, anyone know this is a Live migration bug in GPLPV Pre13/Pre3? Is there a GPL PV driver that is known to work well with Live Migration? It would likely be a bug except that you say that the Linux PV-on-HVM drivers won''t migrate either? What version of GPLPV are you using?
