I have tried a yum upgrade of a Fedora 8 DomU to Fedora 10. The host (Dom0) is Fedora 8. I can run the DomU if I boot the 2.6.21 F8 kernel left after the upgrade but not any of the 2.6.27 F10 kernels. Any help would be appreciated. I intend to move my Xen hosts to CentOS5.2 running Xen 3.3 but can not get that working yet either so am seeing what can be done with F8 in the meantime. If I try the std F10 kernel, I get the message Error: (2, ''Invalid kernel'', ''elf_xen_note_check: ERROR: Will only load images built for the generic loader or Linux images'') If I try the PAE F10 kernel, it panics and dies. Unfortunately, this is a production server and so I can''t monkey around with either the Xen version or Dom0 kernel at this time. -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Glen and Rosanne Eustace GodZone Internet Services, a division of AGRE Enterprises Ltd. Having now sorted my issues with CentOS 5.2 and Xen3.3, it really helps to be booting from the right kernel :-( I can run 2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686.PAE on xen 3.3 with the 2.6.18 CentOS kernel so the issue with the invalid instruction on FC8 would appear to be something related to xen 3.1.2-5 Anyway progress. I can use the fc8 DomU kernel on the production servers until I can get them upgraded (downgraded - depends on ones point of view ) from FC8 to CentOS 5.2 -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Glen and Rosanne Eustace GodZone Internet Services, a division of AGRE Enterprises Ltd.
