I''ve just uploaded 0.9.12-pre3 to www.meadowcourt.org/downloads It fixes some save/restore problems for me which means migration might work. Also implemented is some rx irq moderation code. It''s off by default but can be enabled in the advanced settings of the adapter. I haven''t yet done any real performance testing, but I imagine it will need some tweaking to be effective. All feedback appreciated. Thanks James _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

Is it necessary to uninstall old drivers before upgrading to new? Are there still instructions for manual uninstall available somewhere? I tried installing the last release, and my VM bluescreened on boot, but it''s fine (if slow) booting without /GPLPV. I''d love to try these on my VM, but it would be nice to have some kind of README on install issues, the /GPLPV boot flag, etc. Maybe that exists, I just don''t know where to find it? Thanks a ton for all your work on this, these drivers are sorely needed. Regards, David -- David L. If it''s anywhere since 0.9.10 it should upgrade smoothly. Anything less than that and ymmv. Here are some instructions for uninstalling it completely, after which you may be able to reinstall it again successfully: 0. Make sure you have a backup 1. Remove xen*.sys from c:\windows\system32\drivers 2. Remove any oem.* files from C:\Windows\inf that contain the string "net" 3. Remove HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Xen* from the registry 4. Remove any key value called "UpperFilters" or "LowerFilters" from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ containing the text ''Xen'' (eg ''xenhide.sys'') 5. Reboot Make sure that /GPLPV is not specified in the boot.ini boot entry you use when re-installing from scratch (okay for upgrading, just not the first install). The installer should warn you about this. Please let me know how you go - if it works as described I''ll put the removal instructions on the wiki.
