Hi I got a Amd Athlon 64 X2 3800+ setup running Debian Etch 64 bit/ Xen 3.2, 2.6.18-6. As other on the list is only the one core present, no matter what kernel boot options I set. If I boot the Xen kernel in single-user mode both cores is present. So it''s the step to runlevel 2 that makes the difference. The answers to similar question I''ve read is to update, but I haven''t had any success with Xen 3.3.0. /Lars _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
Lars, Have you setup `nosmp'' option for your "vmlinuz" line in Grub? How many CPUs you can see in "xm top" command in your dom0 Debian? I never used ''xm top'' much, since the difference columns isn''t on row and therefor is it gives confusion than overview. # xm top CPUs: 2 @ 2004MHz Dom0 VCPUS 2 Htop and /proc/cpuinfo, xm list only reports one core. Xend-config is set to use all cpus, (dom0-cpus 0). I assumed that also meant cores. # xm lis Name ID Mem(MiB) VCPUs State Time(s) Domain-0 0 196 1 r----- 38.2 Is it ''xm top'' that is reliable, and things have worked all along? Yes, I''ve tried ''nosmp''. -- /Lars _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
