Whenever a domU is configured to get more than approximately 4 GB of RAM (e.g. by setting "memory = 4500") the domU kernel detects only ~4 GB less than the amount of memory that Xen assigned to it (e.g. with memory = 4500 the domU only uses 500 MB of RAM, with memory = 6000 it only uses 2 GB etc.). xentop and `xm list` display the correct (configured) amount of memory but the domU kernel does not use it. This problem occurs with the following software versions: - Debian etch (in both dom0 and domU) - xen-hypervisor-3.0.3-1-i386-pae (from etch) - linux-image-2.6.18-6-xen-686 (dom0 kernel from etch) - linux-xenu-2.6.24 (self-compiled domU kernel based on source code from backports.org) Any ideas what the problem might be or how to track it down? _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
