Hi all, I''ve recently installed xen-3.3.0 from sources. The problem is that the xen kernel compiled doesn''t show svm flags on /proc/cpuinfo; they are showed when I boot on stock debian kernel. Is there any config or option to set up before compiling to enable this feature on the kernel? regards, -- edu gargiulo _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

I don''t think so; xen kernels installed from debian packages shows the svm flags in both cpus, and xm dmesg shows SVM enabled in both too. I think it could be a lack of any set up variable on configuring source, so I''m looking for help about. Yes, it does. This is the output running the compiled 2.6.18.8-xen-3.3.0 kernel # xm dmesg | grep SVM (XEN) AMD SVM: ASIDs disabled. The code is entirely different for storage handling with file:/ for pv and fv. So it''s safe to use file:/ for hvms while it''s not for PV. Until recently tap:aio is not supported for hvms, not sure whether this has changed in latest versions or not. --Sadique> Is this true for newer versions?
