Hi all We are having problems getting our Xen domains to autoboot. We have a x86_64 Xen 3.1 (0-53.1.21.el5) Dom0 running Centos 5.1. We have successfully got a DomU booting and running without problems however when the server shuts down or xendomains is stopped we are getting the following errors and the DomU is stuck in "s" mode until a destroy is called; [root@sx2 /]# service xendomains stop Shutting down Xen domains: sx2-01(save)../etc/init.d/xendomains: line 181: 13991 Terminated watchdog_xm save /etc/init.d/xendomains: line 181: 13991 Terminated watchdog_xm save SHUTDOWN_ALL .......................................................................... .......................................................................... .......................................................................... .......................................................................... ...../etc/init.d/xendomains: line 299: 13991 Terminated watchdog_xm save /etc/init.d/xendomains: line 299: 14184 Terminated xm shutdown $XENDOMAINS_SHUTDOWN_ALL ![done] We are presuming that the reason the DomU is not autobooting is because of a bad save file in /var/lib/xen/save/sx2-01 as once we remove this file and start xendomains the DomU boots successfully. However if don''t do this we get the following message when starting xendomains; Restoring Xen domains: sx2-01Error: Restore failed Usage: xm restore <CheckpointFile> Restore a domain from a saved state. !. Starting auto Xen domains: sx2-01(skip)[done] Disabling SHUTDOWN_SAVE in the xendomains configuration file seems to fix the problem however we would still like to find a solution so the domains can be saved/resumed. Any ideas or pointers? Thanks in advance! David _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
