Hi, I''m having a strange issue with wireless on dom0. I can''t seem to get connectivity , if i do a scan i can detect the network but then when i try to connect no dhcp offers are received. One strange thing is that in the scanning the signal level is very low (-150 dBm) and the Noise level stays at 0 dBm, this does not happen in a non xen kernel. Any help is really appreciated. Using xen 3.1.3 fc8 , release 2.6.21.7-3.fc8xen _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

What is your wireless card? have you checked if other people have reported a problem with this card and Linux/Xen? Do you need to use wireless with Xen? I believe there are known issues with bridging and virtualization. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

It my case the card is properly detected both in the normal and non xen kernel. By doing kudzu -p i can the card is known by the system as wlan0.> > Do you need to use wireless with Xen? I don''t have a lot of wireless experience (especially not mixed with xen) but there are a lot of tools that you can you to find out where the xen version of the driver is going wrong. Search google for wireless sniffing tools and also try to find out if any of the standard Linux networking debug tricks can get you any information.
