I am running a WinXPsp2 hvm with this driver and the vm always wants to install something with a garbled name every boot? Additionally, I have disabled the realtek nic in dev mangler and have connectivity with the pv nic. I can ping external addresses and perform dns lookups but the browser some how just sits there and doesn''t render anything now? When booted w/o the gplpv switch and the original nic re-enabled, the browser renders fine? Thanks! jlc _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

You probably can''t get a TCP connection. Since I''ve never gotten anything > 0.8.5 not to BSOD on boot, I''ve never been able to check whether this problem went away. I think the vif''s still support it and Linux does the offloading on behalf of the adapter. Even if the hardware doesn''t support it, there are still advantages to be had when sending between DomU''s. Recent versions of the PV drivers support disabling csum and large send offload.
