[Xen-users] XenExpress or OpenSource Xen, which is better?
Hi: I am just interested in running a Guest Linux OS and a guest windows XP OS on my "AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+" machine w/ 3 Gb of memory. I don''t need to run a 64 bit OS and in fact prefer 32 bit OS to be "main stream". I was wondering, for someone like me, is it better to use the free version of commercial product (XenExpress) or is it better to use open source Xen 3.2 release. I welcome any advise, easy of setup and stability are my main needs. Thanks. But this assumes you are a techie and don''t care for nifty interfaces. Btw, my advice to you is to go 64bit :) with 3.2. If you want the former, XenExpress is fine. If you want to add virtualisation to an existing install you pretty much have to use OpenSource Xen. Xen Express provides stable PV drivers for Windows to enhance performance. There are Open Source PV drivers for Windows under development but they are not yet finished.
