Xen users - Jan 2008 - Error 13: Invalid or unsupported executable format ~

Hi,
        I compiled and installed the xen source code on debian
''etch'' kernel
2.6.18. I see that after make install xen.gz is not created in the /boot
directory ..
the procedure I followed is this :

make world
make install ;

Is there anythingmore i need to do ?
