I am new to xen and Linux and wanted to test/play with xen under centos5.1 inside an esx 3.0.2 vm. I used yum to install xen from the base repo. When I reboot and choose the xen kernel, I cannot access network resources from the xen vm. I have read through the user guide and tried to search the web for esx related issues but didn''t see any. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks! jlc _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Why do you need to do this instead of >installing it on a cheap bare metal box?My purpose isn''t enterprise or performance oriented at all. I don''t have a spare machine at home (where I have the time to play) and I do all my testing on an esx server as I can snap a current state and make changes and test configs and simply roll back as I learn/experiment. I did read it can be done, but I haven''t found and problems related to the network. jlc _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
