Xen users - Nov 2007 - New xen-3.2-unstable.gz version does not boot

After upgrading to the current version of xen-unstable
/boot/xen-3.2-unstable.gz does not work anymore. When trying to boot,
the serial console does not display any output at all after the last
message from Grub. When I replace the new xen-3.2-unstable.gz by an
older version (compiled from the xen-unstable source on 2007-10-09)
everything works fine so I am quite sure that it is definitely
xen-3.2-unstable.gz which is causing the problems.

Unfortunately I have got no idea how to debug this problem as there
simply is no output at all from Xen. Any hints?

Hi Paul,

I also am encountering the same problem.  But, I think that the problem 
is solved in following changeset.  I will try it. 

  x86: Do not read/write EFER MSR if it doesn''t exist. 
  changeset 16378 
  http://xenbits.xensource.com/staging/xen-unstable.hg/rev/a7f8ff1ca311
