Xen users - Oct 2007 - Unable to connect to Xend. Connection refused

Hi all,
    after an emerge I wasn''t able to run xen correctly. Everytime I 
try the command xm list, I receive the error:
Error: Unable to connect to xend: Connection refused. Is xend running?

Inspecting /var/log/xen/xend.log i found that xend doesn''t find 
something at line 1 column 0. But I don''t know what is it.

I tried with kernel 2.6.16.52 and with 2.6.20-r4 but nothing change.

Can someone help me? Thx in advance for any help

Hi all,
      I have a big problem and I don''t understand what to do.
After a new emerge somedays ago, xend ended to work correctly and I 
receive the following error when I try a xen command:

Error: Unable to connect to xend: Connection refused. Is xend running?

Dom0 is up I think but with xm list and with xm create ... I receive 
that error too.
I tried to emerge again python, xen and xen tools, but nothing change.
The log file of xend report an error that I didn''t find anywhere in 
web and don''t know where to read something about it.

what is that element in line 1 and column 0 that it doesn''t find???

I''m running a gentoo version 2.6.20-xen-r4, and xen version 3.1
