Xen users - Sep 2007 - Install debian domU para-virtualized under rhel5

Hi all,

  Somebody knows how can I install a debian (etch or lenny) domU 
para-virtualized guest under rhel5 xen host?? Or is it only possible to 
install as a hvm guest??

Hello

The simplest way is probably to install a debian into an over computer 
and rsync the slash into the newer-xen-server
after, you have only to change the kernel and the /lib/modules

Hi Yves,

if you have a modern hardware which supports HVM than you can install it
using HVM. After that you have to install the modules of the kernel you
want to use to boot the machine.

Can you not download debootstrap, mount the domU''s logical volume in 
Dom0 and tell debootstrap to install there?  I do this from Debian based 
Dom0s.
