Hi I am trying to understand receive and send path of xen. why multicall is invoked during the receive path (not in transmit path). also why do we need gnttab_copy function for receive to a guest ( i don''t see invocation during transmit) ? Correct me if i am wrong. i see more gnttab_release or end than gnttab_claim for a run of xen. i am naive to it (can someone explain me how dom0 is getting grant reference during the receive path?). any pointers will be great John _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
Hi List Please can you help me with the following questions on XEN: 1) Is the versions of XEN available with distro''s such as Fedora Core limited to 4 concurrent VM''s and 4 GigByte of Ram ? 2) Are these versions able to run windows 2000 and 2003 ? Thanks in advance Stefan. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

I have under SLES10 with about 10 VM´s and a total amount of 8GB of RAM, and also more than 4 GB a machine (but only a limited number of VM´s)> > 2) Are these versions able to run windows 2000 and 2003 ? > >It depends on your Hardware! If you have a hardware which support hardware virtualisation like the Opteron 22XX, Intel Core 2 Duo. you have to look into the hardware specifications> Thanks in advance > Stefan. >Have a loit of fun with Xen.
