[Xen-users] /proc/xen/capabilities empty - xend not start
Hi all.
I''m installing Xen on a debian Etch, following this guide:
http://www.howtoforge.com/debian_etch_xen_from_debian_repository
But xend does not start.
If i look at the xend init script, i find this line:
...
grep -q "control_d" /proc/xen/capabilities || exit 0
...
and here init script exit: my /proc/xen/capabilities is infact empty.
If i try to comment this line:
...
#grep -q "control_d" /proc/xen/capabilities || exit 0
...
e try to start xend:
calypso:/var/log/xen# /etc/init.d/xend start
Starting XEN control daemon: xend failed!
That''s all the /var/log/xen/xend.log file:

What do you get from uname -a? My etch dom0 gets: Linux goliath 2.6.20-1-xen-amd64 #1 SMP Tue Apr 24 22:23:22 UTC 2007 x86_64 GNU/Linux Tony _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Doh! }} I suspect you''re not running the correct kernel. Sorry, but the new xen kernel was not loaded..... The kernel in use is the Etch one. Now i''ll chek why it happens... /etc/grub/menu.lst is infact ok...
