[Xen-users] reduction and increase number of vcpus PV machine
Hi All, I have 01 dual core processor. I need to reduction/increase number of vcpus on paravirt machine. This only work if i define vcpus=2 in config file. The problem occurs if i start paravirt machine using vcpu=1 and later trying to run xm vcpu-set <Domain> 2, this don´t work :( Somebody can help me? The reduction/increase of the memory are work fine with parameter maxmem in the config file. Exists something similar in relation vcpus? RHEL 5 AP 2.6.18-xen_3.1.0 #1 SMP xen-3.1.0-1 Regards, Daniel Aparecido Martins Rosa CTBC Telecom _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Re: [Xen-users] reduction and increase number of vcpus PV machine
Whatever u gives in config file is the maximum no of cpus then u can set for that domain. So if u set vcpu=1 then u cant set more that one. If u set vcpu=8 in config file then u can vary vcpu from 1-8, but not more then 8. Thanks, Trilok On 6/22/07, Daniel Ap.
