Xen users - Jun 2007 - Error Installing F-7-x86_64-DVD.iso

All,

After booting from the DVD, when I reach the "Installation Method" and
select local CDROM
I continuously receive the error: "The Fedora CD was not found in any of
your CDROM drives.
Please insert the Fedora CD and press OK to retry."

Any clue why this may be happening?

Happens to me too, I assume the F7 installer is missing
the drivers for whatever CD drive is being emulated.

I wound up mounting the DVD image under apache
on the host machine and telling the guest to do
a HTTP network install, which worked OK till I found
that I run into:

 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=237895

with much greater frequency when running fedora 7 guests
(and so frequent with a 32 bit guest that I can''t get
through the install).

I hit that one time, don''t know whether you''re facing
something similar (and
I''m
supposing you''re talking about problems installing the main OS on the
machine
(the dom0, the one with the hypervisor) and not a virtual machine):  I chose
the "Verify Media" the first time, proceeded to the start of the
install
before
pushing the DVD back in (it was ejected during the install) -- I ran across
the
same error message.  I believe there was also one other situation where this
happened.

Might help to make sure the DVD isn''t being ejected for some reason
when you
get
to the proper place.
