Hi all, I''ve configured all my domu and dom0 with bonding (two nics). Ping form a domU to Internet work fine. If I try to ping domU B, eth will stop on domU A. What I can do? Thanks at all. Hi Carlo, is it possible that you have on both machines the same MAC adress? I had a simmilar problem and the reason was that to virtual machines had the same MAC adress. MAC address solved, but problem not. When I ping domUB from domUA (ping IPNUMBER), it say "icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreachable". Ideas? That basically means the system doesn''t have an arp (mac address to ipaddress ) entry for the host you are trying to ping run arp -e you''ll see there''s an incomplete entry for the host you are trying to ping. dan. Yes, correct. But in the arp table, if I ping an internal host of my LAN, I can see an incomplete entry. If I try to ping an external link I can see a compelte entry with the ip of the default gw. --------- Original Message -------- From: "Daniel Kingshott" To: "Carlo" Cc: "Stefan Berner" , xen-users@lists.xensource.com Subject: Re: [Xen-users] ROUTING Date: 17/04/07 11:24 That basically means the system doesn''t have an arp (mac address to ipaddress ) entry for the host you are trying to ping run arp -e you''ll see there''s an incomplete entry for the host you are trying to ping. dan. When I type from a domU shell "ifup eth0", system say "eth0: duplicate address detected!" But in the lan there are not two ip address or two MAC that can make conflicts. dom0 have two nics configured in bonding and they work fine. Found: if I type "ifconfig" in my dom0 I can see all the mac adress (dom0 and domU). All domU nics have FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF. Why? In the cfg file I have putted a unique mac address: mac=UNIQUEMAC.
