Starting from 3.0.4 xen-tools uses TLS in a minor part of its code, related to logging. So, if you don''t have TLS support, xend breaks. If you really don''t want TLS support you may modify the affected code, it''s not really that much to change and it only does logging. A technically better option would be to start using a xen-friendly glibc instead.
