[Xen-users] winXP (guest): mouse not workling, keyborad partially
Hi all, I have two problems with XEN and as guest OS winXP. Under my installed guest OS winXP (SP 2) is the mouse not working. When I do the first klick in the guest-window, the mouse pointer disappers and never comes back. Mouse in principle is workling (a right klick offers me the context menue of the bottom status bar), but moving of the mouse shows no effect. During the setup of Windows its the same problem. The second problem reflects the keyboard. I have a german keyboad, but on the guest OS I just have a english one (and missing some keys). RE: [Xen-users] winXP (guest): mouse not workling, keyborad partially
Hello, I''ve got the similar effect - look into the attachment. Nobody helped mi till now. Do You use the ATI grapinc card with fglrx driver? That''s look to be the source of the problems by me till now. After I''ve istelled it, I had the same effect You have. So maybe try some other driver for the graphic card, something basic, to test if this is really the matter of the problems. Please let me known if You''ve solved this problem. Hi, I habe no solution, but an explanantion ... I have made an bug report to novell: bug-id: 260670 This is the comment of one of the maintainers: -- snip --- Comment #1 From Jason Douglas 2007-04-05 14:37:11 MST [reply] Full virtualization was not supported in openSUSE 10.2, so I am lowering the severity. The keyboard issue is being investigated for SLES 10 SP1 and openSUSE 10.3. -- snap --- The strange thing is, that we have it run on other hardware. I fear, that the ATI Driver is the problem; I will check that. But removing it to get XEN to work would be a bad solution. The ATI card without teh ATI driver is terrible slow. Hello, Thanks Mats Petersson, this issue has been solved by me by adding the line usbdevice=''tablet'' into the DomU configuration file. Maybe This could help also to You...
