Hi,
I''d like to virtualize several Windows XP workstations in a call center
so
the agent can access their workstation using RDP from a thin client in the
LAN, or from a remote location through the internet.
So I''d have a Xen system with several Windows XP VM, and using the
"soundhw" parameter in the VM config file, I''d assign an
emulated Sound
Blaster 16 sound card to each VM.
In those VM will be applications that will use the sound cards, for
example, SIP softphones. And my question is: in this scenario, what I need
to get it working?
I don''t known if I need a physical sound card assigned to each VM and
if
it can be done as I do with PCI devices (I don''t think this is the most
elegant solution), if the SB16 sound card that the VM detects is only
software and it''s 100% functional for the applications or if I have to
use
a sound server or something like that...
Any idea to get this scenario working?
Thanks.
