Xen users - Feb 2007 - Trouble Starting Xend using xen-unstable

Using the most recent xen-unstable, I''m getting the following error:

I applied a custom patch to the kernel, which applied cleanly.  What
might be causing this error?

Should have looked more closely at the mailing list archives.  The
