[Xen-users] Network setup for root server with 1 static IP
Hi list, I''m stuck with a problem. I''ve successfully set up a XEN 3.0.2 on my dedicated root server and now I''m trying to get my domU ready to access the internet. But I think I dont understand the way how it is done. I tried to create subnet with NAT, the result is that the domU is able to ping everything including external servers, but http or other connections arent established. Please help, how can I configure the network for a dedicated server with only 1 static IP? Any pointers are much appreciated. Thank you. Kind regards, Andreas _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Re: [Xen-users] Network setup for root server with 1 static IP
Hi Steffen, thanks for your answer. I just want my domU''s to access the internet. What should I enter in the config file for my domU at vif = [''''] or should I leave it empty, then the defaults will be choosen, right? XEN will set up a internal bridge to eth0, or something like that. But what should I write in the /etc/networking/interfaces config on my domU? Which IP, gateway and which DNS? I''m totally confused. I read so much, but till now it makes no sense at all. P.S.: Did I understand you in the correct way, I''m not able to access my domU from the internet? Andreas.
