All,
I am trying to run a Windows guest under Xen on Fedora Core 5. I was
running into the problem where the windows installation hangs at
"Setup is starting Windows", but pressing F5 at install time and
selecting a different hardware profile did not rectify this.
So I have downloaded an unstable tarball and I am now trying to build
Xen myself. I am doing
KERNELS="linux-2.6-xen0 linux-2.6-xenU" make world
After some time, I get the following error message:
for d in i386-dm; do \
make -C $d clean || exit 1 ; \
done
make: *** i386-dm: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: Entering an unknown directorymake: Leaving an unknown
directorymake[4]: *** [clean] Error 1
make[4]: Leaving directory `/home/waynep/xen-unstable/tools/ioemu''
make[3]: *** [ioemuclean] Error 2
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/waynep/xen-unstable/tools''
make[2]: *** [clean] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/waynep/xen-unstable/tools''
make[1]: *** [clean] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/waynep/xen-unstable''
make: *** [world] Error 2
I''m not sure if my tarball is corrupt, but I cannot get to http://
www.cl.cam.ac.uk today, so I can''t get a new one to check.
Can anyone advise what I am missing to make this work ?
Thanks in advance,
