Hi Paolo,
The Intel CPU supports the EM64T architecture and is IMHO
AMD64-compatible.
We need it for an database application.
But meanwhile I am not sure that this problem has to do with XEN,
because the
Howto on
https://alioth.debian.org/docman/view.php/30192/21/debian-amd64-howto.html
say that there some packages , which will show this behavior.
