> can anybody tell me the difference or point me to sime doku?HVM is an abstraction layer for both Intel''s VT-x and AMD''s SVM, so that common parts can be shared. VT-I is Intel''s virtualization support for Itanium. HVM was developed for x86 virtualization, because there''s two implementations there that need to share code. There may be some scope for sharing between HVM and VT-i but there''s less in common because they''re aimed at different platforms. HTH, Mark -- Dave: Just a question. What use is a unicyle with no seat? And no pedals! Mark: To answer a question with a question: What use is a skateboard? Dave: Skateboards have wheels. Mark: My wheel has a wheel! _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
Hi, there are two examples in /etc/xen, xmexample.hvm and xmexample.vti. Am i right that there is no difference between these twos, i mean, can i use the same config file for a HVM Domain that i use for a VTI Domain and vice versa?
