Hi,
I''m trying to install RHEL WS 4 as HVM-guest on a VT-enabled system
(Pentium D 930) but the installation hangs in the install-program before
I can start with the installation.
The last I see is the blue screen with a black line under it that says:
"Running anaconda, the Red Hat Enterprise Linux system installer -
please wait..."
Then the system hangs for the whole night until I kill it :-(
I also tried to start the installation with the text-mode-installer, and
even with "noprobe", "resolution=..." and "nofb"
to avoid automatic
hardware probing, but I get the same result.
Normaly there should appear as next lines the following:
Probing for video card ...
Probing for monitor type ...
Probing for mouse type ...
...
And after some more lines the text-mode or graphical installer starts!
The qemu-dm.00000.log doesn''t tell me anything usefull, the last line
in
the log appears before I press <enter> at the RHEL-preboot-menu to start
the installation in graphical mode:
