Hi list!: A question about the refinement of the configuration: Always when I start a domain kudzu (hardware detection daemon) ask me for remove hardware. I answer yes, but in the next boot kudzu ask again. I''m guessing that kudzu is asking for remove the «real» drivers that are inside the domU because the domainU was created copying the dom0 system in the domU. How can I deal with problem? I''m guessing that will be a fairly rare and obvious situation. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Thanks Mike and Andy for your quick answer, open source have a good technical support :-D ... I don''t want disable kudzu. I''ll try deleting the hardware entries. Thanks. Jorge. kudzu is asking for remove the real hardware? I''m guessing that is true. I don''t want disable kudzu. Thanks, Jorge. > kudzu is asking for remove the real hardware? > > I''m guessing that is true. > > I don''t want disable kudzu. You do actually - kudzu is completely useless in a guest domain since there''s no ''real'' hardware at all, cheers, S. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
Ah!!! I see ... a question more: If a new hardware is added, by example: I new NIC that will be used for a new domU. Once the dom0 detect the new hardware this will be available under the domU? Dom0 looks after all the hardware and other domains (guests) get to use it via the virtual block device and virtual network interface abstractions. cheers, S. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
