Hi All - judging from the general tone of posts to this list, members are probably going to think I''m nuts but here goes anyway. Just trying out Xen for the simple pleasure of experimentation but am not getting very far. This is on an AMD Duron box, 256Mb ram 128 Gb disk, Gentoo 2005.0, Xen 2.0.5. Following the docs to install from source did the following :- cd /xen-2.0/linux-2.6.10-xen0 cp /usr/src/linux/.config . make ARCH=xen oldconfig cd .. make make install Grub.conf has the following :- # For booting XEN title XenLinux-2.6.10 Xen-2.0 root (hd0,6) kernel /boot/xen.gz dom0_mem=65536 module /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.10-xen0 root=/dev/hda7 \ ro hdc=ide-cd hdd=ide-cd vga=extended console=tty0 On boot of XenLinux, I get a string of messages then Scrubbing Dom0 Ram..Done Scrubbing Free Ram......Done Then the box freezes solid. There are no logs that I can find which might give a clue. Google hasn''t come up with anything and I don''t know how to proceed from here. Would someone be kind enough to point me in an appropriate direction. Apologies if this seems terribly newbie. Try changing it anyway and see if it helps. -- Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a spam into the net: for they were phishers. And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become phishers of men. And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
