I need 2.6.4 as I need to make Xen operate with some other drivers that are not compatible with 2.6.9 Has anybody tried using Xen 2.0.1 on 2.6.4 Thanks Nauzad On Tue, 25 Jan 2005 23:43:23 +0100, Felipe Alfaro Solana <lkml@mac.com> wrote:> On 25 Jan 2005, at 22:02, Nauzad Sadry wrote: > > > Is it possible to use Xen 2.0.1 over a 2.6.4 linux kernel ?? > > Why such an ancient kernel? > >------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases. Not a trivial task and tedious to keep uptodate. I think the first 2.6 version we checked into bk was based on 2.6.7 (July/August 2004). Of course that version won''t run anymore on current xen and it''s also missing a lot of bug fixes. I think that at the most you could review some of the "upgrade to linux 2.6.x" checkins to see what was changed when upgrading to a newer Linux version... christian ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases. > Is it possible to use Xen 2.0.1 over a 2.6.4 linux kernel ??Not really. The current supported 2.6 is 2.6.10. 2.6.4 came before the Xen 2.0 release so there likely won''t be a 2.6 port that''ll work on 2.0.1. Any reason not to just use 2.6.10?
