[Xen-devel] Yet another "Not enough memory for DOM0 memory reservation"

I am running Xen 2.0.3 on a 2x Intel P4 3.4GHz box with 8GB of RAM. My base 
system is SLES9 SP1-RC3. When I try booting Xen DOM0, I am getting the 
following error message.

We have only tested on machines with up to 2GB RAM. Your problem looks
similar to a recent report that Xen fails on a 4GB machine. We have
just obtained a new 4GB machine ourseleves -- once we have that set up
in our test rack I can test >=4GB configurations and hopefullyu put
these big-mem bugs to rest. :-)

problems, but then again I''ve never given a domain more than 1GB.

Have you run any very recent Xen versions? I think my fairly new
code to do e820 parsing may be screwed on big-mem machines.

Yep, >=4GB definitly used to work (though only 4GB is usable), so it
must be something we''ve broken fairly recently, or be quite hardware
specific. 

We''ll see if we can reproduce locally, alternatively, please can you
add
some debugging to alloc_boot_pages in page_alloc.c. Specifically it
would be good to print size and align, and to print out the values of pg
and i before the test for i==size.

I fixed a bug for systems with >4GB RAM yesterday. You might want to
try the latest testing or unstable repository.
