Hi, my mouse doesn't work correctly in many games (not all). I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 and the wine1.3 (from the launchpad package). This concerns Need for Speed 2, Star Trek Bridge Commander and some others. In Star Trek Bridge Commander the mouse doesn't seem to have a right x-axis and I'm not able to click on anything. Using the Keyboard to move the cursor won't do as well. In Drakan Order of the Flame the game freezes when I want to change any settings (keyboard and mouse). I don't think that this is because of the game, since it worked for some people some time ago... I'd be glad for any suggestions. Hakaishi
Ah... sorry. I only now discovered that wine1.3 is a beta version... I'll try the wine1.2 later and see, if it works then. Hakaishi
No, there is almost no change for star trek bridge commander from wine1.3 to wine1.2. The less concerning the strange mouse movement...

Wine 1.2.3 is code frozen and known to work with certain programs at that point. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=4207 is the Applications Database entry for this program and the program is rated platinum, which means no problems were encountered with it on the test platform, which includes Ubuntu 10.10. You might want to look at the Application Database page and see if your problem has been encountered and if there is a work around. You might also consider downgrading to Wine-1.3.18 if you can. Well the are many different mouse problems in different games. The wine version I used before was 1.3.19 and now it is 1.2.2, but there is no difference with the mouse problems. The Applications Database for Star Wars Bidge Commander doesn't mention any mouse problems (only with ATI Radeon cards).
