[Wine] Install app from "untrusted Source" ???

I installed Wine  1.2 under Ubuntu 10.10 using Synaptic as a source   today in
order to run an Windows Install exe from the German Tax Office and received the 
messgage "not executable".

Anyone know what is happening ?? How do I get around the problem?
