Is there anyway to get World of Warcraft to use stereo 3d with the NVidia 3d vision goggles under linux using wine? or do i just have to resign myself to keeping a copy of windows on my computer?
Aside from the fact that the use of glasses is restricted to Quadro cards on Linux, it wouldn't work. The 3D vision stuff requires a separate image for each eye (each image will be from a slightly different perspective). The Windows drivers attempt to render each frame twice from a different perspective (and if needed they apply game specific hacks as part of their compatibility database). Don't expect this to ever work on Wine unless games (and there are some) render the image for each eye themselves.
First you need 3d vison dongle work.( need firmware from windows drivers ) Some way for libnvstusb , or some french port with python Shutters3D-Daemon (https://github.com/magestik/Shutters3D-Daemon) or usbir.py (http://code.google.com/p/pyusbir/source/browse/trunk/source/lib/usbir.py) French ubuntu topic http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=360579 people work for make some 3d video player but no thing for wine or unix game , maybe you can look for SteroGL And for finish another stero gaming link http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2939 But no thing for game and 3d vision for now .
