wine users - Dec 2010 - dbpoweramp and cdrom

Hi aim new to Linux and wine and on a steep learning curve (but very worth the
effort). I have installed dbpoweramp under wine with no problem except my cdrom
is recognized as a unknown? and can not be read by dbpoweramp ripper. the cdrom
work fine in Ubuntu, can someone please give some help. my sytem is

Dell Vostro 1500 (laptop)
Ubuntu 10.10 (desktop)/Windows XP
Wine 1.01

That version of Wine is over two years old and no longer supported. Upgrade to
at least the latest stable release (currently 1.2.2), and preferably to the
latest development release (currently 1.3.10).

Hi, I have installed wine 1.3.10, and reinstalled dbpoweramp but still have the
same problem, the the cdrom is showing as "unknown" in the ripper
program, in the set-up for dbpoweramp the cdrom is present but there is no info
for the cdroms (see below)

Manufacturer: 	Unknown
CD Drive: 	Unknown
Firmware: 	
Serial:

All sorted now, change the following in dbpoweramp

options/communications/ASPI [/i]
the default was SCSI Pass Through [/i]
