Is it possible for an installed and working steam client, on say Ubuntu able to use and play games from the installed version of TF2 that is install on windows 7 dual boot partition of the same raid array? I have an Asus G50VT laptop that is currently dual booting Windows 7 and Kubuntu 10.10. I find that playing TF2 on Linux is much more enjoyable and smoother than on Windows.

NTFS is not native FS for Linux and you might have some strange problems. Not even saying that you can corrupt some files and render your windows unusable.
ok, thanks for the reply. If i just wanted to try it, could you point me in the right direction? [Laughing]
