The downloader starts but crashes after downloading a few megabyte with "err:seh:raise_exception Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x2ba036e" I am using wine 1.31 but i had the same error with 1.2. Everyone else told me that this program should run well, but apparently it does not. How can i fix this?
Which downloader is it? Try winetricks gecko.

I will see if I can figure out which vc versions I have, it may be something in common for the two game downloaders. The little downloader program itself starts up fine, but the large download it controls (of the game) crashes partway through every time.
