wine users - Jul 2010 - Outcast error

Hi all^^

i tried to install Outcast with wine(version 1.1.42 on ubuntu 10.04) but i
can't...just after the command "wine Setup.exe"...it opens the
Install window but i get this error:

what can i do??

Try running in a terminal and give us the output.

so...the main problem is that...terminal doesn't return me anything...

let's see...here are my steps:

1)starting Setup.exe with wine(via terminal);
2)"wine:Unhandled privileged instruction...starting debugger... "
appears(via terminal);
3)the graphical install window appears but after few seconds it gives to me the
error in the image above(_INS5576._MP etc etc);
4)now...only if i click on the Close button wine returns me that lenghtly
infos(i mean...if i don't click that "close" button...the info in
the terminal remains stuck at the 2nd point);

you really should try a newer version of Wine before spending too much time
debugging on an older version.

so...i tried with the 1.2-rc6 version...the result is the same...here iswhat
wine returns in the terminal(slightly different)
