[Wine] QQ International - How to troubleshoot an app that wont run?
As I mentioned in the subject, I have installed the latest version of QQ International (beta 3), under wine in ubuntu lucid. It installs without much trouble, however when I run the application, nothing happens. How do I begin troubleshooting this application to see if I can make it work? Or if anyone happens to know of an x64 linux qq client that actually works that would be great too :D (empathy and pidgin don't work, and the official linux qq client doesn't support 64bit, and isn't in english anyway)

Hi, thanks for the help guys. I now have QQ installed and running. However, when I try to log in the program crashes. It seems to be looking for this DLL MFC42.DLL What do I install to provide that? thanks :)

Sorry. winetricks vcrun6sp6 Its strange to need vc2005 and vc6 runtimes in the same application. John

ah! Thanks. However, it still crashes when I try to log in. It gives me the following output: http://pastebin.com/7JWHu5nz I don't see anything particularly helpful in there. Does it give anyone else any ideas? Sometimes it doesn't crash but times out instead.

Hi! Can I ask - how did you get it to install? I cannot get it to do anything once it hits 'Checking the install environment' under Arch Linux (on 32-bit, not 64) I wish there was a native and english solution though.
