I noticed this thread hasn't been updated in almost a year but I'm experiencing a similar problem. I'm running wine on os x and my wine-gecko directories look like this: Code: jon@~: ls -ha ~/.wine/drive_c/windowls/gecko/0.1.0/ total 62728 drwxr-xr-x 36 jon staff 1.2K Jan 18 16:02 . drwxr-xr-x 3 jon staff 102B Jan 18 15:47 .. -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 30K Jan 18 16:02 LICENSE -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 16B Jan 18 16:02 VERSION drwxr-xr-x 12 jon staff 408B Jan 18 16:02 chrome drwxr-xr-x 36 jon staff 1.2K Jan 18 16:02 components drwxr-xr-x 5 jon staff 170B Jan 18 16:02 defaults -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 145B Jan 18 16:02 dependentlibs.list drwxr-xr-x 4 jon staff 136B Jan 18 16:02 dictionaries -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 374K Jan 18 16:02 freebl3.dll drwxr-xr-x 5 jon staff 170B Jan 18 16:02 greprefs -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 1.1M Jan 18 16:02 js3250.dll drwxr-xr-x 14 jon staff 476B Jan 18 16:02 modules -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 211K Jan 18 16:02 nspr4.dll -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 794K Jan 18 16:02 nss3.dll -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 313K Jan 18 16:02 nssckbi.dll -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 121K Jan 18 16:02 nssdbm3.dll -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 65K Jan 18 16:02 nssutil3.dll -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 52B Jan 18 16:02 platform.ini -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 14K Jan 18 16:02 plc4.dll -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 10K Jan 18 16:02 plds4.dll drwxr-xr-x 3 jon staff 102B Jan 18 16:02 plugins -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 6.5K Jan 18 16:02 redit.exe drwxr-xr-x 45 jon staff 1.5K Jan 18 16:02 res -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 110K Jan 18 16:02 smime3.dll -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 173K Jan 18 16:02 softokn3.dll -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 478K Jan 18 16:02 sqlite3.dll -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 147K Jan 18 16:02 ssl3.dll drwxr-xr-x 34 jon staff 1.1K Jan 18 15:50 wine_gecko -rw-------@ 1 jon staff 7.7M Jan 18 15:39 wine_gecko-1.0.0-x86.cab -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 11K Jan 18 16:02 xpcom.dll -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 95K Jan 18 16:02 xpcshell.exe -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 83K Jan 18 16:02 xpidl.exe -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 30K Jan 18 16:02 xpt_dump.exe -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 26K Jan 18 16:02 xpt_link.exe -rwxr-xr-x 1 jon staff 19M Jan 18 16:02 xul.dll The contents of the wine_gecko directory are the same (i wasn't sure if the "wine_gecko" folder that I unpacked from the .cab file was supposed to exist in the gecko/0.1.0 folder or not). I also tried the winetricks method and it seemed to run without error, non-verbose output: Code: All done, no errors. Does anybody have any ideas about how I can get this working? Honestly, I don't really give a crap about web-browsing in wine, but I'm using Steam and steam seems to require wine_gecko to browse their store.
