[Wine] Taxact 2009

Greetings All, 

 I'm having a bit of a problem running the Taxact program for year 2009. The
2008 version worked fine under Wine. However, the current release seems to be
malfunctioning. The program starts ok, but there is no input fields or text in
any of the panels. Selecting almost any "clickable" control pops-up
the Help Center (also with no text).  It looks like something new has been added
for 2009 that Wine cannot handle. Any help in getting this working is
appreciated.

no help, but i use Tax Act also.  when i speak to them i have suggested i would
like to see them port it to GNU/linux.

Did you read
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=18111

You may also try with a clean .wine without any winetricks and an older wine
version, 1.1.31 is mentioned in the AppDB.

I tried the vcrun2008, comctl32, dotnet30, and vcrun2005 winetricks but with no
effect.

Using winetricks to install IE6 was enough to work here.  I didn't have to
mess with java. Thanks.
