I have the same garbled registration with Quicken 2009 under Wine. winetricks ie6 installed fine but does not correct the problem. Wine version 1.1.27 running under Debian.

And if you can replace whatever graphics card you have with a nvidia card and use the latest nvidia binary driver. John
