Basically in the title, no error message in the terminal, can't figure out how to fix this. In top wow.exe sits at a fixed MB for memory and maybe 2% cpu, but never more than that. Need help. Need my wow fix, but have no idea what to try. I started with a fresh .wine and installed vcrun2005sp1 manually. -- Sincerely, MacNean C. You might have a bit more luck installing vcrun2005sp1 through winetricks instead, as it does a few things the installer only can't manage to do in Wine (yet). If that didn't work, run Wine from a terminal and give us the terminal output. Be sure NOT to run from the WoW launcher as problems have been identified with it; run the game directly instead.
Also have trouble when loading the game. I get: "The program WoW.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Could login at lunchtime today.
