[Wine] Re: Mac OS X snow leopard Install Problems /opt/local/lib/libexp
I get the same problem. When I try to build the Wine-devel dependencies separately as universal, some refuse to build as universal (namely, jpeg and others). (same happens with xorg-server, btw, so I have to use the Apple x11 version). And Wine refuses to build WITHOUT universal dependencies. Yes, I followed the "Migration from 10.5 to 10.6 ". This is a Macport problem, of course, but maybe there is another way to install Wine without resorting to Macports?? I spent the last two days reading bug reports over at Macports, building, cleaning, and uninstalling again, without any progress. Maybe someone over here knows what's to do... Hope this makes sense. I'm no Unix expert, I just want things to work without having to think about them (typical Mac user...). I didn't have any problems installing Wine under Leopard, but this is driving me nuts... Thanks, M:A:

[Wine] Re: Mac OS X snow leopard Install Problems /opt/local/lib/libexp
I'd suggest for Wine.. to build all Wines deps as i386. I haven't tried building Wine on 10.6 for a long time (I build on 10.4 so it can be used on any OSX version), but I recall having issues as well when I had 32 and 64 bit available, Wine would complain about wrong architecture, but if I only had 32 bit, it worked fine...
