Hi, I can play Close Combat III just fine, the problem is that double clicking on units in the requisition screen does not work. So I can't requisition units. The installation works and the game works. The game is becomes useless if you can't get any units :-) Basic info: Code: $ wine --version wine-1.1.31 $ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 Codename: karmic I have tried win95, win98, win2000 and XP all have the same issue with very slow double clicking. I have also set my HKCU -> Direct3D -> VideoMemorySize to the correct amount. I tried to configure double-clicking to the middle button using xbindkeys, but it generates just two consequential left-button clicks and it seems that it takes forever for on left-button click to register. Double-clicking works well on the game screen, ie. I can choose a saved game with a double-click. If anyone could guide me to correct direction I would be sooo grateful.
Additional info, every time I double-click in the requisition screen, these fixme-messages populate the terminal. Code: fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32f79c,0x00000000), stub! fixme:x11drv:X11DRV_desktop_SetCurrentMode Cannot change screen BPP from 32 to 16 fixme:dsalsa:IDsDriverBufferImpl_SetVolumePan (0x164c58,0x165120): stub fixme:d3d:IWineD3DClipperImpl_SetClipList (0x161d20,0x957690,0),stub! fixme:d3d:IWineD3DClipperImpl_SetClipList (0x161d20,(nil),0),stub! fixme:d3d:IWineD3DClipperImpl_SetClipList (0x161d20,0x957690,0),stub! fixme:d3d:IWineD3DClipperImpl_SetClipList (0x161d20,(nil),0),stub! fixme:d3d:IWineD3DClipperImpl_SetClipList (0x161d20,0x957690,0),stub! fixme:d3d:IWineD3DClipperImpl_SetClipList (0x161d20,(nil),0),stub! fixme:d3d:IWineD3DClipperImpl_SetClipList (0x161d20,0x957690,0),stub! fixme:d3d:IWineD3DClipperImpl_SetClipList (0x161d20,(nil),0),stub! fixme:d3d:IWineD3DClipperImpl_SetClipList (0x161d20,0x957680,0),stub! fixme:d3d:IWineD3DClipperImpl_SetClipList (0x161d20,(nil),0),stub! That is an example output of a attempt to add units. I quit after it didn't succeed.
More info. I just played Close Combat II and noticed that double clicking does not work in it either. Fortunately none of the CC2 game controls require double-clicking. Anyway, both programs are very slow to react to mouse clicks, for example, selecting an item from a list takes almost a second. Slow mouse clicks do not happen on every screen, some screens work just fine and with CC3 some dropdown lists work perfectly fast when clicked while double-clicking does not work at all.
