[Wine] Can I change from Development to Stable maintaining my apps?
I've instaled 1.2 (Development) on KUbuntu 9.10 I've instaled some Windows apps but I,ve some stability problems. If I remove 1.2 and install the stable version mantaining my .wine directory sould my Windows programs work?

It does not refer to performance. Unless there's a regression, most apps will perform better in the latest development release than in the "stable" version. As for your situation, it depends on what apps you're running. Check the AppDB for information on how your particular apps performed under 1.0.1, and check bugzilla for known regressions. Ultimately, though, the only way to know if your apps will work better in the older version is to try it.

Sorry most likely swaping back to 1.0.1 it will not work due to registry differences between the wine versions. I am sorry to say 1.2 is not a offical wine version yet. It something ubuntu has done. Inside there is a 1.1.x something. The 1.1.x development line is not compatible with 1.0.1 line. Ubuntu could not be happy with labing the wine development line what it is. ie 1.1.x
