wine users - Nov 2008 - google earth

:? Can I access google earth with Wine?
I am dualbooted with XP and Ubuntu 8.10. GE works fine in XP. There are no
drivers for my VIA KM400 chip set for Ubuntu.Can I use Wine to access my XP
drivers?

There does not need to be any. And this has nothing to do with any
reason why google earth does not work in wine.

What about your graphics card?

No. Wine does not do that.

No you can't use hardware drivers on Wine:

I think that my question is answered. I can't use the drivers that work in
XP for wine to open google earth. Untill VIA makes some drivers for Linux, I
will keep XP for google earth.

Yes, there is a native Linux version of Google Earth on the Google Earth
website.

Google Earth works on Wine but at this point it only renders correctly on Nvidia
hardware due to the lack of 'redirected GL rendering' in open source
drivers and fglrx. Install the Linux version of Google Earth.
